# Local Recorder

> Local Recorder is a free voice recorder for iPhone and iPad (iOS/iPadOS 18.5 or later), built for long sessions such as meetings, lectures, and interviews. It contains ads; a rewarded video removes ads for 24 hours.

- Records in the background and on the Lock Screen. Unattended limit: 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 hours, or none.
- Quick voice reminders: hold the record button, speak, release, then choose when to be reminded (in 30 minutes, in 1 hour, tonight, tomorrow morning, or a custom time). Requires notification permission.
- Archived recordings are organized in a month calendar.
- Recordings are saved on the device.
- Sharing: m4a file, or save to Photos as a video.
- Reopen Local Recorder to check for an interrupted recording. If audio is available to recover, you can review and save it. Some audio may be missing.
- Optional silence skipping with four adjustable parameters.
- Languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean (switchable independently of the system language).
- Accessibility: VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion.
